It won’t handle the latest demanding AAA releases at high settings, but for casual gaming, retro titles, and competitive esports on a budget, it’s a genuinely capable card — and being a low-power design, it runs cool and quiet even in a compact case.

The standout here is the all-SSD 1TB storage configuration: rather than splitting a small SSD with a slow spinning hard drive, everything — your operating system, applications, and games — benefits from SSD-speed loading and responsiveness. Combined with the 6-core i7-8700 and 16GB of RAM, this machine feels genuinely fast for everyday use, web browsing, office work, and light-to-moderate gaming alike. As a refurbished unit, expect light cosmetic wear consistent with prior business use, but every system is functionally tested before it ships. If you later want stronger gaming performance, the tower form factor leaves room to fit a more powerful graphics card down the line.

Who it’s for: this system is well suited to gamers and everyday users who care more about snappy, consistent responsiveness than chasing the highest graphics settings — the all-SSD storage means the whole system, not just the games, feels quick. It’s a solid pick for students, casual esports players, and anyone who wants a dependable Dell workhorse with just enough graphics power for light-to-moderate gaming on the side.

Compared with buying new, a system built around an i7-8700 and a dedicated GPU would typically cost significantly more, even before accounting for the fact that new budget pre-builts often cut corners on RAM or use a single small SSD. Here you get a proven 6-core Intel platform, a full terabyte of solid-state storage, and 16GB of memory as standard, which is a genuinely well-rounded specification for the price rather than a machine built around one flashy number.

Every machine we sell, this one included, has already been unboxed, cleaned, inspected and functionally tested by a technician before it’s approved for listing, so you’re never taking a chance on an untested secondhand computer. We’d rather tell you plainly what an entry-level card can and can’t do than oversell a machine and leave you disappointed once it’s plugged in.

Specifications

Processor: Intel Core i7-8700, 6 cores / 12 threads, 8th Gen

Graphics: AMD Radeon RX 550, 4GB GDDR5

Memory: 16GB DDR4

Storage: 1TB SSD

Operating System: Windows 11 Pro

Form Factor: Dell OptiPlex tower

Condition: Professionally refurbished and tested

Connectivity: USB 3.0, DisplayPort, Gigabit Ethernet

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/1080/9321/0973/files/refurb-dell-tower_c8757ea6-eea9-4270-b26d-022791104c17.jpg?v=1791752002
