Rather than the small form factor chassis used in some of our other OptiPlex builds, this one uses the full-size Dell OptiPlex tower, giving the RGB fans, i5 processor, and GT 1030 graphics card more room to breathe.

Key Features

Intel Core i5-6500 processor — a quad-core 6th-generation Intel Core i5 with a 3.2GHz base clock and 3.6GHz Turbo Boost, and 6MB of cache.

NVIDIA GeForce GT 1030 2GB dedicated graphics — real dedicated video memory and processing for genuine, if entry-level, gaming performance.

Full-size Dell OptiPlex tower chassis — more internal volume than the SFF variants in our range, meaning better airflow around components and more room to work inside the case.

Custom RGB lighting — RGB fans and lighting fitted during the build for a genuine gaming-PC look.

Massive 1TB SSD — a full terabyte of solid-state storage, plenty of room for a large game library and software collection, all running at SSD speeds.

16GB DDR3 memory — comfortable headroom for multitasking and modern games.

Windows 10 Pro pre-installed — genuine, activated Windows ready to use immediately.

Room to Breathe, Room to Grow

The full-size chassis is the defining feature of this build compared with its small form factor siblings. More internal space generally means cooler-running components under sustained load, quieter fan behaviour since fans don’t need to spin as hard to move the same amount of air, and simply more physical room around the RGB lighting for it to actually show off. If you’ve found small form factor gaming PCs feel cramped or run warmer than you’d like, this full-size build addresses that directly.

On performance, the GT 1030 remains an entry-level card, and we’re not going to dress that up — it’s built for esports and lighter games rather than maxed-out AAA settings. Expect solid, playable performance at 1080p low-to-medium settings in titles like CS2, Valorant, Rocket League, League of Legends, and Fortnite, alongside comfortable performance in older and indie titles. The i5-6500’s quad-core performance handles the CPU side of gaming and everyday multitasking well, and paired with 16GB of RAM and a full terabyte of SSD storage, you get a genuinely well-rounded, honestly-specified budget gaming machine rather than one number on the spec sheet doing all the work.

Every unit we sell, this one included, is professionally refurbished and functionally tested before listing, so you’re getting proven Dell commercial-grade hardware rebuilt specifically for gaming, at a fair price.

If you’re weighing this build up against the small form factor GT 1030 machines elsewhere in our range, the choice largely comes down to space versus airflow: pick the SFF version if desk space is genuinely tight, or pick this full-size tower if you’d rather have the extra cooling capacity and interior room, and don’t mind the larger footprint. Both share the same core i5/GT 1030/1TB SSD specification and go through the same testing process — the chassis is the real difference, and it’s worth choosing deliberately rather than by accident.

Every full-size tower rebuild, this one included, is tested the same way as our SFF builds: POST and memory checks, GPU stability under load, full health verification on the 1TB SSD, and confirmation that the RGB fans are correctly wired and functioning before the machine ever leaves us. The larger chassis doesn’t mean a lighter testing process — if anything, the extra internal space makes it easier for us to fully inspect the build before it ships.

Specifications

Processor: Intel Core i5-6500, 3.2GHz base / 3.6GHz Turbo Boost, 4 cores / 4 threads, 6MB cache

Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce GT 1030, 2GB dedicated video memory

Memory: 16GB DDR3 RAM

Storage: 1TB Solid State Drive (SSD)

Chassis: Dell OptiPlex full-size tower with custom RGB lighting

Operating System: Windows 10 Pro (genuine, pre-activated)

Condition: Professionally refurbished — fully tested and functional; minor cosmetic wear may be present

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/1080/9321/0973/files/refurb-dell-sff_cca97361-c635-4c7f-8f7a-bfb4c78dc5c4.jpg?v=1791751976
https://saleforgery.com/products/custom-built-rgb-gaming-pc-8211-dell-optiplex-intel-i5-6500-gt-1030-1tb
